Before using Evans Waterless coolant for the first time it is advised that Evans Prep fluid is used to flush the cooling system of ay remaining water based coolant, This is essential for a successful conversion to Evans Waterless coolant.

Evans Prep Fluid MUST be used before Evans coolant is installed in your cooling system for the first time, when converting from traditional coolant.

Evans Prep Fluid is specifically formulated to hygroscopically absorb any water-based coolant remaining in the cooling system after initial drain. Because certain parts of the cooling system might not drain out with gravity, and it would take too long to disconnect every pipe etc., installing a scavenging fluid is the most practical method of removing all the water-based coolant.

The Prep Fluid is not formulated to chemically clean the engine of rust and scale, but the process of circulation and draining will help remove any loose sediment.

Evans Prep Fluid must be used before converting from a water based coolant to Evans Waterless Engine Coolant.

Conversion from a water-based coolant to Evans is a straight forward process that can be undertaken by anyone with some basic experience in engine mechanics.

The primary objective of converting to Evans Waterless Engine Coolant is to eliminate all of the problems associated to water:

Seafoam Motor Treatment is a popular engine cleaner for rotary engines and can help free stuck seals within the engine that may have been caused by carbon build up.

This carbon can build up in many areas including

• On the rotors causing potential hot spots
• Over the apex seals contributing to reduced travel, hampering the seals ability to seal the combustion chambers from one another
• In Seal grooves reducing apex seals, side seals and corner seals ability to do their job as designed
• In Exhaust ports (especially on RENESIS RX-8 side exhaust ports)
• Sticking intake valves

Seafoam is oxygen (LAMBDA) sensor safe and can be used in a variety of ways, including adding the the fuel tank, or the most popular way on the rotary engine is to introduce a small amount undiluted in to the engine through the intake vacuum nipples found on the intake manifold of the rotary engine. Racing Beat’s dyno-proven Power Pulse Air Filter Assembly, for all 1971-85 Stock Carburettor Bodies, is designed specifically for performance. While the assembly uses the same Racing Beat foam air filter element that fits the stock canister, the design of the Power Pulse canister both improves air flow into the carburettor and limits the introduction of dirt particles into the filter element.

The spun aluminium canister pieces are powder-coated white for added durability. There is no provision for emission control valve hose/air pump hose connections on this assembly; however, there is a position available to connect a crankcase breather tube if needed.

The Racing Beat-designed Foam Air Filter Element for all 1971-85 Rotaries consists of a polyurethane foam over a metal screen form that interchanges exactly with the stock element. The foam element can be re-used by periodically cleaning in solvent and re-oiling.

While the element offers no significant increase in air flow when compared to a clean, stock paper element, as the paper element collects dirt its air flow capacity decreases dramatically while the foam element is nearly unaffected.
