The RE-medy water pump has been designed by our friends from Mazmart in the USA, They take a new genuine water pump and install their very own high quality billet impeller on it, This helps increase flow while decreasing cavitation at higher RPM.

This high flow RE-medy water pump is designed to prevent cavitation at engine speeds as high as 10000 rpm.

It is a direct fitment, as OEM and comes with a new Mazda OEM gasket.

Pineapple Racing Heavy Duty (HD) Water Seal Kit for RX-8

This is Pineapple Racing’s exclusive Heavy Duty Water Seal kit. Pineapple Racing tested these seals for over 7 years in numerous street and track cars before offering them to our customers. They have proven to be a significant upgrade over the stock water seals. Pineapple Racing use them in all their 5-year warranty motors.
Also, these seals are re-usable if you need to reopen the motor to freshen it, as long as the mileage is not too high or the engine too overheated. In other words, if you make a mistake and blow up your engine or perhaps improperly clearance the seals or whatever, these seals can be removed, allowed to “rest” for about 30 minutes and be reused when you put the engine back together. Stock water seals must be disposed of when freshening an engine, even with just a couple heat cycles.

Pineapple Racing Solid Dowel Pins

  • Helps prevent cracking the plates from hp loads or “ping” (esp. important in the 20B and Series 5 & earlier turbo engines)

  • Helps to insure a true engine centerline which reduces engine failure and increasing bearing life

Pineapple Racing Solid Dowel Pins provide an easy, cost effective aid to hp and “ping” loads causing plate cracking or engine damage from loss of clearance from engine flex. Our super strong proprietary material has been meticulously machined to provide what we feel are the most accurate and consistently machined solid dowel pins on the market. The O.D. is accurate to 50 millionth’s! That’s 0.00005”. We “lightly” tapped one end for use with a Dowel Pin Puller.

Replace just the lower dowel pins helps to insure your engine’s centerline remains true. It is a great update requiring no machining.

Replace both lower and upper dowel pins for the maximum improvement. Replacing the upper dowel pins requires the installation of an external oil feed line to the front main oil galley to replace the OEM galley in the OEM dowel pins. Our Oil Pedestal Adapter kit makes this a simple job that can be done with simple hand tools and an electric drill.

High horsepower and the shock loads from “ping” put a tremendous load against the rotor housings. The load deflects the rotor housings outwards, pushing the dowel pin with them. The dowel pins are retained by their fit into the cast iron plates. If the loads are too high, the upper dowel pin can cause the plate(s) to crack. Additionally, since the upper dowel pins are also used as an oil galley, a massive oil leak is also possible. The OEM 20B is especially prone to this type of damage,  and with the price of the “thick” center plate near $1800us, preventing this type of damage pays for itself.

The Pineapple Racing Oil Pedestal Adapter is a stylish, Nickel plated rotor shaped adapter. It easily installs between the existing oil filter pedestal and the rear plate. It features a ¼”NPT port for an external oil line and an 1/8” NPT port for oil pressure or oil temperature.

Mazda Factory Race (MFR) Rear Stationary Gear Bearing

Genuine Mazda Factory Race Part
Use in place of stock rear bearing. 3-window type. Recommended for any engine used at 8000 rpm and above. Increases oil flow to the inside of eccentric shaft and to rotors.

If you are installing this bearing in to a Manual RX-7 FD3s of 231ps RX-8 Rear Stationary Gear we would recommend getting an indexing groove cut in to the rear face of the stationary gear in order to locate and hold this bearing correctly. The location should be in the same place as that found on Auto Rear Stationary gears and those earlier then the FD3s. Stationary gears from the Automatic FD3s and RX-8 including the 192ps manual RX-8 should have this indexing groove in them already.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

Mazda Factory Race (MFR) Rotor Bearing (Sold Individually)

The Mazda Factory Race (MFR) rotor bearings for all 12A & 13B engines are the best bearings available of engine operation near or above 8500 RPM. The rotor bearings are manufactured with a deep groove for additional oil storage and offer an additional .0005″ (approximate) clearance. These bearings can be used in 1973 and earlier engines by grinding off the indexing tab.

Competition bearings have 0.01 inch deeper oil groove and provide 0.0005 inch more clearance than stock bearings. Thinner overlay material improves bearing service life.

These bearings are special order only and can take up to 6 weeks for delivery. They are sometimes out of stock at Mazda HQ Japan so can take longer. we would recommend ordering your competition bearings early to avoid disappointment.

Stationary Gear Bearings FB, FC & 192 + Auto RX-8

Sold as a Pair these stationary gear bearings where used in many of the early Rotary engines

These include

  • RX-7 FB/SA22c

These bearings have fewer “windows” but are the correct bearings for most 12a and early 13b engines (with the exception of the 13b REW found in the RX-7 FD3s)

If your looking at these for your 4 port RX-8 engine then a popular upgrade is the high power multi window bearings though there is no locator notch found on the high power bearings here at Essex Rotary we install them in conjunction with a high quality “bearing lock” compound to help keep them in place.

Stationary Gear Bearing Set for 6 Port RX-8 + FD3s

This is a set of Genuine Mazda “windowed” stationary gear bearings commonly found in the high power 6 port (231ps/250ps) RX-8 and RX-7 FD3s
These are a multi window design to promote superior oil flow when co pared to the earlier versions found in the FC3s and Automatic RX-8
This set is the most common size for use when rebuilding your engine or simply replacing your old worn bearings when you remove your engine.
The part number for this bearing ends in “E04” giving the greatest clearance other then Mazda Factory Race Bearings.
Other sizes can be special ordered on request.
